BLC alum Sahar Hosseini

Sahar Hosseini will be joining the University of Pittsburgh as an Assistant Professor of History of Art and Architecture, beginning in Fall 2019. As a faculty at the Department of History of Art and Architecture at Pittsburgh University, she will contribute to the department’s Architectural Studies (B.S. & B.A.) and Art History Ph.D. Program. Dr. Hosseini is an alumna of the Buildings—Landscapes—Cultures Summer Field School and Program area within the Architecture doctoral program. She received a Ph.D. in Architecture in 2018. Her archival and field research has been supported by Andrew Mellon Foundation, Society of Architectural Historians, The Chancellor's Golda Meir Library Scholar Award, and Bob Greenstreet Honorary Scholarship. Before Joining the University of Pittsburgh, she was a Mellon Fellow in Urban Landscapes Studies at Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection, Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Rutgers-Newark, and an Andrew Mellon Fellow at the Humanities Institute - New York Botanical Garden.
